Islamorada, Florida Keys · checked Oct. 21, 2026

Islamorada day trip itinerary, planned by mile marker

The short answer

An Islamorada day trip goes most smoothly in mile-marker order. Start at Founders Park and the Chamber visitor center around MM 87. Then see Windley Key Fossil Reef (MM 84.9, closed Tuesday and Wednesday), Theater of the Sea (MM 84.5), the History of Diving Museum and the Hurricane Monument (MM 81.5), feed the tarpon at Robbie's (MM 77.5) and finish at Anne's Beach (MM 73.5). Indian Key is closed.

Last checked October 21, 2026

On a wooden dock over green water crowded with dark tarpon, a man in a cap kneels and holds a small fish down to a big silver tarpon breaking the surface with a splash. Other visitors stand or crouch along the dock, and the bow of a red boat lettered 'Robbie's ... Marina' shows at upper left.

Islamorada is a strip of islands along US 1, so the easiest day trip runs in one direction and never doubles back. The Village says it stretches from Mile Marker 90.0 to Mile Marker 72.6. Below is a north-to-south plan using hours and fees the operators posted when we checked on October 21, 2026, and a planner that puts any stops you choose in mile-marker order. We give no drive times because we have not sourced any.
